For C.R.

Well, for some reason, this surreal image of tulips blooming under a budding crab apple tree did not get recorded onto my computer when I transferred the files from yesterday’s photo shoot. And before I realized what happened, I had already “deleted” the RAW image from my memory card. Thankfully, with the help of my dear friend C.R., I was able to restore about 50 images that would otherwise have been lost. This is one of them.

If you’ve a moment, please view large.

  1. That is such a peaceful, beautiful image. I’m so glad you were able to rescue it!

Thanks, too, for stopping by and for your thoughtful comment. The power of water is indeed a wonder.

  2. so perfectly framed and the prettiest colours…it almost looks like you have 2 photos together…luckily you saved them…i guess it’s a good idea not to delete from the camera until one knows it’s downloaded properly…i will keep it in mind.

  3. I’ve so been there, done that! I know the frustrations. Thankfully, they are recoverable, and I’m glad you did….this is one AMAZING photo.

Here’s My Macro Come visit and view if you have some time in your busy day, as I love tons of company at Hootin’ Anni’s!!!

  4. Hooray, what a shame that would have been, Kala. This shot is hauntingly stunning! I have panicked and done that before too but not as lucky as you to have C.R. as a friend. You’re blessed!

  5. So glad you were able to recover some of the “lost” files! This one’s a beauty, too. You have such a great eye for flower photography and your post processing is awesome.

  6. It would have been a shame to lose that one Kala! Glad you didn’t. I love the backgrounds in your photos. I need to work on that with mine. This is such a perfect example of beauty in the fore & background.
