Flowers for Kala

Our winter has been very harsh. It seems like such a long time since I saw flowers blooming in gardens. This post is to remind myself that they still exist!

  1. Beautiful image and very timely with Valentine’s Day in a few hours! Wishes for plenty of flowers for Kala, the best macro photographer!

  2. Little notes to ‘self’ – yes, that’s what keeps our spirits running or should I say flying,…
Lovely shot as usual. And a nice reminder for me that flowers DO exist somewhere OUT there ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Gorgeous composition and depth! I love the elegant and tender feel of your image a lot. Here in London the snowbells are sprouting up from the grass and seeing them makes me incredibly happy – spring will be here before you know it! And I hope you will see them soon too.

  4. I keep thinking I have my favorite image of yours picked out and then you post another and I change my mind. ๐Ÿ™‚ I seriously love this color comboโ€ฆitโ€™s gorgeous.

  5. Oh, I know how you feel Kala! It’s been a real tough one here also. This IS a beautiful reminder of spring. Hopefully it is not too far away.

    Happy Valentuine’s Day to you!

  6. Beautiful and delicate shades of white with those wonderful pink tones.
PD. I do not ever process my photos, presented without alterations as fall after the shooting. Already commented on the header of my blog.

  7. This picture would make up a beautiful texture printed out on a fabric. It looks so smooth and silky.

We should see these beauties soon. In another two weeks it’s official spring start but it is still snowing by us too.

  8. Beautiful and makes Spring seem a possiblity! Our winter has been a doozie! Let’s hope Spring brings flowers as beautiful as your photo. Well done! Thanks for visiting CITexas Gal for Macro Monday.

  9. Such a beautiful, high key rendition of these lovely red flowers. You have a magical touch with garden imagery. My first daffodil of the season bloomed yesterday. Spring will soon be sweeping across the globe.

  10. Thanks for the reminder that beautiful flowers will once again fill our gardens and our camera lenses. I so0ooo need to be reminded that winter will end eventually. Love your photo as usual. ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. This is very nice, Kala. I really like your post-processing here. You have very specific style. I like the very limited amount of colours and also the fact that I can’t find out how the photo was done – I mean if it was rotated after shooting it or the lilly hangs on something, what is in the background aso. Great work!
